Using chaos to direct trajectories to targets.

چکیده
A method is developed which uses the exponential sensitivity of a chaotic system to tiny perturbations to direct the system to a desired accessible state in a short time. This is done by applying a small, judiciously chosen, perturbation to an available system parameter. An expression for the time required to reach an accessible state by applying such a perturbation is derived and confirmed by numerical experiment. The method introduced is shown to be eA'ective even in the presence of small-amplitude noise or small modeling errors.

A Gravitational Search Algorithm-Based Single-Center of Mass Flocking Control for Tracking Single and Multiple Dynamic Targets for Parabolic Trajectories in Mobile Sensor Networks
Developing optimal flocking control procedure is an essential problem in mobile sensor networks (MSNs). Furthermore, finding the parameters such that the sensors can reach to the target in an appropriate time is an important issue. This paper offers an optimization approach based on metaheuristic methods for flocking control in MSNs to follow a target. We develop a non-differentiable optimizati...
متن کاملScale-invariance of ruggedness measures in fractal fitness landscapes
The paper deals with using chaos to direct trajectories to targets and analyzes ruggedness and fractality of the resulting fitness landscapes. The targeting problem is formulated as a dynamic fitness landscape and four different chaotic maps generating such a landscape are studied. By using a computational approach, we analyze properties of the landscapes and quantify their fractal and rugged c...

متن کاملConservative chaotic flow generated via a pseudo-linear system
Analysis of nonlinear autonomous systems has been a popular field of study in recent decades. As an interesting nonlinear behavior, chaotic dynamics has been intensively investigated since Lorenz discovered the first physical evidence of chaos in his famous equations. Although many chaotic systems have been ever reported in the literature, a systematic and qualitative approach for chaos generat...
متن کاملMeasuring the Similarity of Trajectories Using Fuzzy Theory
In recent years, with the advancement of positioning systems, access to a large amount of movement data is provided. Among the methods of discovering knowledge from this type of data is to measure the similarity of trajectories resulting from the movement of objects. Similarity measurement has also been used in other data mining methods such as classification and clustering and is currently, an...
